1. Approval of Cooperative Transportation Agreement Between the Haldane Central School District and the Garrison Union Free School District for 2026-2027
Be it resolved that, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education hereby approves the Cooperative Transportation Agreement between the Haldane Central School District and the Garrison Union Free School District for 2026-2027 and authorizes the Superintendent to sign the Agreement on behalf of the District.
2. Approval of Contracts for Educational Services for 2025-26 with Hendrick Hudson Central School District (as per student IEPs)
Be it resolved that, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education hereby approves the Contracts for Educational Services for 2025-26, as per student IEPs, with Hendrick Hudson Central School District, 61 Trolley Road, Montrose, New York, and authorizes the District Clerk to sign the Contract on behalf of the District.
3. Approval of Resolution to Fund District Reserve Accounts
Be it resolved that, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education hereby approves the following Resolution: RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Haldane Central School District hereby authorizes the funding of the District's approved reserves with the excess of 4% from the unappropriated fund balance at June 30, 2026, after the designated amount, if any, for tax reduction has been set. The allocation of such excess fund balance will be determined subsequent to June 30, 2026 and prior to setting the tax levy.
4. Approval of Contract with HTA of New York, 2026-2027, for services in accordance to student IEPs
Be it resolved that, upon the recommendation of the Interim Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education hereby approves the 2026-2027 Contract with HTA of New York, 11 Peekskill Hollow Road, Putnam Valley, New York for physical therapy services in accordance with student IEPs, and authorizes the Board President and Superintendent to sign the Contract on behalf of the District.

Be it resolved that, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education hereby grants tenure to the following individuals in their respective tenure areas:

2. Appointment of Co-Curricular Positions, 2026-2027
Be it resolved that, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education hereby appoints the faculty, staff, and community members as presented on the attached list of co-curricular positions for the 2026-2027 school year in accordance with the stipends stated in the BOE-HFA Contract, Appendix B-2. The faculty, staff, and community members listed have met the fingerprinting criteria mandated by the State.
3. Appointment of All Haldane HFA Members to the Position of Chaperone
Be it resolved that, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education hereby appoints all members of the HFA to the position of Chaperone for the 2026-2027 school year, in accordance with the BOE-HFA Contract. All employees have met the fingerprinting criteria mandated by the State.
4. Appointment of All Haldane CSEA Members to the Position of Chaperone
Be it resolved that, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education hereby appoints all members of the CSEA to the position of Chaperone for the 2026-2027 school year, in accordance with the BOE-HFA Contract. All employees have met the fingerprinting criteria mandated by the State.
5. Approval of First Addendum Agreement for Superintendent of Schools, Gail Duffy, EdD
Be it resolved that, the Board of Education hereby approves the First Addendum Agreement dated July 1, 2026 for Superintendent of Schools, Gail Duffy, EdD, a copy of which shall be incorporated by reference in the minutes of this meeting, and authorizes the Board President to execute the First Addendum Agreement on behalf of the District.
6. Resignation of Elementary Special Education Teacher - Nicole Rojas
Be it resolved that, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education hereby accepts the resignation of Nicole Rojas, Elementary Special Education Teacher, effective August 14, 2026.
7. Notification of Retirement - Kim Patinella
Be it resolved that, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education hereby accepts the notification of retirement from Kim Patinella, Confidential Secretary, PPS Department, received June 11, 2026 and effective June 26, 2028, in accordance with her employment agreement, thanks her for her service to the District, and wishes her well in retirement.
8. Request for FMLA Leave of Absence #2885
Be it resolved that, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education hereby approves the request for an leave of absence from employee #2885 effective August 31, 2026 through December 8, 2026. The employee has provided the required documentation in accordance with the provisions of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
9. Resignation of Full-Time 1:1 Teacher Aide (Manitou) - Tara O'Sullivan
Be it resolved that, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education hereby accepts the resignation of Tara O'Sullivan, Full-Time 1:1 Teacher Aide (Manitou), effective June 18, 2026.
10. Approval of Supplemental Memorandum of Agreement Between the Haldane Board of Education and the Civil Service Employees Association re: Establishment of School Transportation Operations Assistant Position
Be it resolved that, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education hereby approves the Supplemental Memorandum of Agreement between the Haldane Board of Education and the Civil Service Employees Association, dated June 11, 2026, related to the establishment of an School Transportation Operations Assistant position, and ratifies the Superintendent signature on the Agreement on behalf of the District.
11. Appointment of Secondary Math Teacher, Middle School - Mary Callaghan-McCann
Be it resolved that, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education hereby approves the following certified appointment:

Tenure Area: Mathematics 7-12
Effective Date: August 31 2026
Probationary Period: August 31, 2026 - August 30, 2030

12. Appointment of Per Diem Substitute Teacher Aide, Teaching Assistant, and Proctor - Caroline Sniffen
Be it resolved that, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education hereby appoints Caroline Sniffen to the positions of Per Diem Substitute Teacher Aide, Teaching Assistant, and Proctor in accordance with the BOE-HFS and BOE-CSEA contracts. This appointment is pending the fingerprinting clearance mandated by the State.
13. Appointment of Summer Cleaner
Be it resolved that, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education hereby appoints Thiago Pluas Gomez to the position of Summer Cleaner, effective June 29, 2026, in accordance with the BOE-CSEA Contract.
L. Unfinished Business
Approval of Instructional Contract Addendum Agreement Between the Haldane Central School District and the Garrison Union Free School District for 2026-2027
Be it resolved that, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education hereby approves the Instructional Contract Addendum Agreement between the Haldane Central School District and the Garrison Union Free School District for 2026-2027 and authorizes the Board President to sign the Agreement on behalf of the District.

Be it resolved that, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education hereby approves the recommendations of the Committees on Special Education and Preschool Special Education as presented.
